Experience Baja is a small eco-tourism company offering hiking, backpacking, and tours based out of La Paz. We offer trips varying from just an hour or two in order for you to discover a town or museum; to trips that can last a week or more in the serene Sierra de la Laguna, allowing you to experience Baja and its wonderful biodiversity in whatever way you wish. Come visit us and experience the popular and the untouched, hidden areas of Southern Baja.

Our trips offer numerous opportunities to observe native species of flora and fauna. You will experience all the different ecosystems of the Sierra de la Laguna, ranging from tropical dry forest to the oak and pine forests found at the higher elevations. The Biosphere preserve has been classified as a unique land-locked island because of the flora and fauna that is found only in this Biosphere

Who is Experience Baja? Experience Baja was started and is run by Brian and Angela Learn, originally from California. Brian has been backpacking since the age of nine, when he climbed Mt. Whitney, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, for the first time. Since that first wilderness experience, Brian has been on numerous adventures into the High Sierra in California. Brian is EMT certified and a Wilderness First Responder.

Angela has an undying energy for the outdoors. Angela has spent almost every summer of her life in La Paz and therefore is very fond of it. Her love of Baja and its natural beauty is very evident. After a few years of working in an office setting, Brian and Angela decided to leave the hustle of office life in California and pursue their love of the outdoors.

Our mission is to provide the chance for our guests to experience a relaxing, enjoyable, and knowledgeable time while visiting Baja.
